FAQs
- Isn’t the Femforce an “Adult” comic book with lots of nudity and suggestive poses?
- The Femforce is PG or PG-13 and kid safe. The Femforce are “Good” girls and are not going to be seen in overtly sexual suggestive poses or X-rated scenes.
- Aren’t Femforce comics by their very nature sexist and demeaning to women?
- On the contrary, the women of the Femforce are portrayed as smart, competent and dedicated. They are heroines in the best sense of the word and are role models. They use their brains as well as their para-normal powers. Unlike other portrayals of “heroines” in comic books they are not just decorative, they’re not bimbos, and they’re not victims. They have a strong moral fibre and are not vulgar or sleazy. Just because they’re attractive doesn’t mean the comic book is sexist.
- The Femforce is in black and white. Doesn’t that mean it’s of lesser artistic quality than color comic books?
- On the contrary, because the artists on the Femforce can’t rely on the crutch of vibrant colors to define what they’re drawing, they need to be adept at creating crisp, clearly defined scenes with great detail and attention paid to shading.
- The sales guy at the comic book shop where I buy my books told me that AC Comics is out of business.
- AC Comics has never ceased publication since it was founded and AC is still in business today. AC Comics always has solicitations of new product in Diamond Distributors’ monthly Previews catalog. Tell him to look in the green “Comics” section under “AC Comics.”
- The sales guy at the comic book shop where I buy my books won’t stock current AC comics or Femforce back issues. He is also reluctant to take my Previews order for AC publications.
